WHY

The unbearable suffering, loss of life and destruction in the last several weeks has brought renewed focus from the global community on the decades’ long humanitarian crisis in Palestine.

Intensifying with each hour Gaza remains cut off from food, water, electricity and fuel, and subject to relentless bombardment - now more than ever before, it is crucial we come together in aid of this catastrophic humanitarian crisis.

We bear deep sadness for the loss of all innocent lives and pray for an immediate end to the violence and suffering inflicted on civilian populations. Our community is rooted in empathy and understanding, and we seek a future which supports, honours and nurtures the communities scarred during these dark hours.

Supporting Choose Love and it’s local partners

Choose Love is a pioneering movement in humanitarian aid: fast, flexible, transparent and accountable. Over the last eight years, they have raised millions to support humanitarian crises globally. Choose Love is a registered charity in the United Kingdom and the United States, you can learn more about their mission here.

We recognise the many stages of support required for recovery and sought to work with charities able to support rapidly evolving needs on the ground in the most effective way. We have selected Choose Love as our charity partner because they are working with a number of local partners, and allocating funds based on the most immediate needs. They are currently working with Palestine Children’s Relief Fund, Medical Aid for Palestinians and Anera in Gaza, along with The Orchard of Abraham’s Children and New Israel Fund to support displaced communities in Southern Israel as part of their Civilians Must Not Be A Target campaign. The funds raised through #CookForPalestine are ringfenced for distribution between the three local partners in Gaza; should you wish to fundraise more broadly for both those in Palestine and Israel, please send your donations directly to Choose Love.
